The Cabrillo College Foundation recognized the generous contributions from the Monterey Peninsula Foundation at a celebration on December 1, 2017.
The Monterey Peninsula Foundation is on a mission to enhance the quality of life in Monterey County and surrounding areas through the strategic disbursement of charitable funds generated by hosting the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the PURE Insurance Championship.
We are pleased to celebrate MPF and the significant impact they have made at Cabrillo College. Since 2011, MPF has awarded Cabrillo with over $900,000. They have recently granted the college $240,000 to fund the first year of Guided Pathways, which aims to dramatically improve student success.
Steve John, CEO of MPF said, “The Monterey Peninsula Foundation is so proud to partner with Cabrillo on this campus-wide program. By funding the inaugural year of this initiative, we are able to help properly launch this program until state funding kicks in. We hope this new approach will have far reaching success and give all of our community’s students a rewarding college experience.”
